seen it on the A420 last night near swindon, looks like the camera part had been cut down, the rest of it was still standing and the camera on the floor

The usual bit of vandalism on these cash cows is an old tyre thrown over the head stuffed with petrol soaked rags. This happened to two near where I live. Not that I condone criminal damage you understand

How about a deal, for every camera flash, down goes a camera.
then sell them back to the government.
Or what about taking a photo of a copper driving past, and putting the photo inside of the lens bit.
