Brendan Hughes

I log on here, and Nick Wild has died of a brain haemorrage at age 22. I never knew him, but that's not easy news for anyone to swallow.

I sent an email to my best friend in Belgium yesterday. His best female friend, maybe 25 yrs old, just got killed in a car crash.

The guy I share a desk with for the last year and a half has just happily accompanied his wife into hospital for their first child, with both of them in their mid-thirties. He's Italian, you know what children mean to them. I just came in to work this morning to hear that the child was born OK but died during the night of respitory problems.
