Does anyone know anyone who has emigrated to Canada, or has/is anyone considering doing it themselves.
Seriously thinking about it now and trying to get first-hand info from people who have done it. What are upsides/downsides, how easy was it finding work, buying property, adapting to new country, etc.
Any insights would really help.

Generally speaking, the Canadian people are really friendly and the thing that amazed me last time I was out there (allbeit 10 years ago) was how clean it was.
Some of the larger cities have problems, but not as bad as over here. If I had the 'get up and go' I would do it too.

hang on,
It's my mate's brother that went to canada not me!
All I did was sent the other guys my mates e-mail address so they could ask him to forward details to his brother.
I'll speak to my mate first.
