I am after a decent base layer for thermal warmth. Currently looking at either Helly Hansen Life or a Sub Zero factor one top ?
Anybody had any experience of either ?

Thanks

HH is good. North Face is better, or Patagonia, they are superb. Not cheap unfortunately.

I will be using it as a base layer for riding big fast motorbikes through winter and don't want to get cold !!

I already have a factor 2 SubZero top which I use and it is very good but I would rather be too warm than not warm enough. I intend using a base layer and mid layer in combination.

Cheers

I swear by Patagonia. Used mainly for Snow, but I keep them in the car at all times. Extremly comfy and a great temperature.

M&S did lambswool a year or so back which for the money are really good. I've got HH and M&S, HH are thinner. Both perform as good as each other when out on my bike. I prefer HH for ski-ing as I'm more likely to work up a sweat and end up too warm and thats bad news ski-ing. When you stop anyway.

Cheers

Cool

Try thermal tops made by Aquaduct. It's gear that was designed for mountain bike riding - so is form fitting and very comfortable to wear under leathers. It is also breathable and hard wearing.
