House Alarms - any experts
#1
question for any alarm experts out there..!
I've just moved in to a new house (new as in, new build) and I don't really want to install an alarm and go chiselling out plaster and coving for the sensors and wires etc.
So... are these wireless systems any good at all? The area isn't that bad, so I'm really just looking for something basic, and has a nice flashy LED deterrent on the outer wall.
Any and all opinions sought!
Thanks.

I have a Visonic PowerMax available from Wireless Alarms . I have had it a couple of years and never had any problems or false alarms. It can ring/page/e-mail you on any number if the alarm is triggered and you can also listen in if anyone is in your house. The external bell has to be hardwired, one benefit over the ones from B&Q is that the batteries in the devices last 5/10 years without replacing. I have mine linked to my PC and can do all the programming from there.
