Hi I need a bit of help!
I have got a good computing degree and about 10 months experience but I have a few decisions to make, At the moment I am unemployed but not cause I got the tin tac!
1. Try and find a graduate job now
2. Look for an IT job, not necessarily a graduate scheme
3. Go and do a ski season while I have the chance and try again in 6 months. - Will this make it harder or easier to get a job?
4. Do something completely different to IT
5. Temp for a bit and see if it leads to anything and if not go travelling again
6. none of the above!!
If anyone has got any good ideas they would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to get stuck in a rut
Thanks all
Andy

The IT job market isnt the best now but you dont actually specifiy what area you are interested in which makes a difference as its such a diverse industry.
If you have the money to spend then take a year out travelling or skiing as it could be your last real chance to do this.
Simon.

Ah!
Been here, done that.
I was in the same situation, I ended up doing a crappy job in a bike shop, BUT it allowed me to race national level mountain bikes and train for it.
Did this for a year, then decided it was time to earn real money.
At the time it seemed cool, I got a job fairly easily afterwards ie real IT job. I now kinda wonder how many pay rises etc I missed though?
IT job market isnt great at the mo, and if skiing is your cup of tea I would be tempted personally. But then I would say that cos Im trying to get out of my current job!
