![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I've got a Focus for a week and I was wondering if anybody had any (sensible
) ideas for fun.
So far I've
Proved I'm cr4p at handbrake turns,
Discovered that cheapskate hire car co have not put ABS on it (just tested it
)
Caned it over some favourite roads - reasonable car![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Been to the tip
Any more ideas for fun?

bounce it off the rev limiter in as many gears a possible, practice changing gear with out using the clutch, practive your crap handbrake turns, burn outs, speed hump jumping, see how far you can slide it as it does not have abs, 0 - 60 standing starts, 0 - 60 - 0 tests, reversing donuts, teach someone to drive in it, the list in endless

Take it rallying, see how far it will go on an off road course. Get it a dirty as possible etc.
When done all of the excellent suggestion so far, get the boys round and do the above again but timed against the clock !
Richard (who returned a Micra with a very dinted backbox after sliding it backward down a very steep hill and exhaust scrapped rather heavily on ground)

A dealer gave me a new shape micra as a courtesy car when the scoob was being service. The handbrake was very sensitive, and provided much fun ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Also try bouncing it off the limiter![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hmm, seems you've tried the obvious ones, what about flat out gearchanges, they can be fun
I'm also a fan of ramming the handbrake on as hard as poss then slipping the clutch to see how far you can compress the rear suspension
If you have any narrow lanes near you, you could try going up the verge a bit on corners, kinda like you're on a BMX, or just cut bends rally stylee![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Do everything that you wouldnt do in your own car......
Rev it to the limiter, then turn the key to engage starter motor![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)

If you think trashing a hire car is big and clever then fair play but you are damaging someone else's property and IMO thats vandalism. I hope a mechanic taking your scoob out for a spin tries all of the above and a few more as well.

Some bodyshop gave me a nissan micra as a replacement when my BMW was getting fixed (after a little *ahem* crash...)
I was driving to Staines from Birmingham every day. The car started out with 2000 miles on it, I handed it back 6 weeks later with 9,100!!
All the miles were driving at 85 MPH, god only knows the RPM!!!

all of this sounds quite vicious!
i always burn hirecars, but never risk the excess (too much!)
reverse flips are fun though:
1. reverse hard on a slippery surface, deserted carpark/grass or similar.
2. turn steering wheel 1/2 to 3/4 turns right, with right hand.
3. as front of car swings round, breaking adhesion, slip into second.
4. upon completing about 160 degrees start to apply power.
5. you will then continue travelling forwards at more or less the same pace as you were travelling backwards, but obviously you have changed direction fairly rapido!
endless amusement! mk 1 fiestas provide marvellous results!

I agree with Mr Evolution, although I tend to rev hire/courtesy cars reasonably high
I don't deliberately kill the clutch or anything stupid like that.
Perhaps you may consider checking that your current garage mechanics don't thrash cars that are in for a service? Since redlining a scoob whilst the oil is still cold doesn't do it much good, does it?
And following your hire-car logic, if someone else burns out your clutch, it's up to you to buy the replacement. Does the same hold for a busted turbo or no.1 piston?

My friend and I hiered a BMW 328i in Australia, not for any reason in inputicula just cos we wanted to have a laugh. We tryed most of the things people have sugested: reverse donuts, forward donuts burn outs and skids we also went for the BMW jump record and a bush drive, It was all a lot of fun.
On the way back to the car rental place we were both hapily smiling to ourselves about how we had mildly wrecked what was a nice car.
We were driving down a steep winding freeway that passes over the Blue mountains when I saw signs for a truck run off, I looked at my friend and with a glint in his eye I drove flat out at the run off we hit it at about 115mph and oh my god it felt like hiting a brick wall. Before I knew it I could see sky then floor then sky then floor and yup you guessed it sky again. we came to rest at the edge of the run off ramp on our wheels, Luckily neither of us were hurt. The most amasing thing was that the car still ran altho it did have a striking resembelance to a Toblerone bar. With no windows and not a strait panel in sight we drove the 8 or so remaining miles back to the rentals place. where we shepishly handed over the BMW to a smiling rep who told us...................Thank you, we look forward to renting you another quality car soon.
Basicly mate you can do what ever the hell you want........... THEY DONT CARE !!!
