Where we live it's normally done on Wed for the big bins and Thu for the small bins. 'Cos the Xmas it has not been done on those days, but nobody informed us when it's going to be done.

Well today (Sat) they came to get those big bins and unfortunately my car was parked in the direct way to the bins and surprice surprice the bin(s) kissed my front bumper and others car rear bumper.

I know that I was supposed to go out at the time I saw them to drag the bins but hell I didn't and now it's too late, but what shell I do next? Is there any chance to get them to do/pay the repairs?

get in touch with your council asap on Monday.

when a refuse collection is done, depending on your council, the refuse collectors are supposed to go back and file a report each time, e.g. why they didnt collect, problems etc. etc.

my betting is on them blaming you........

I think you should be thankful they even emptied it at all. Round my way if they can t reach it from the pavement, then they'll leave it.

Not saying I agree with the damage part but why when you heard them didnt you go and move the bin or car!
