According to Clarkson when we there for the filming, only 3 people know...JC, Andy Wilman (the producer) and The Stig himself..
..clues given at the time were
1) French or at least speaks english with a french accent.
2) Smokes
3) Needed to be at the French GP very quickly...
..clues from last nights show included something to do with lotus...

Julian Bailey was sacked by Lotus F1 in 1991 after a few DNQ's. He lives in Surrey (convienent) He has driven at Le Mans a few times. And presumably they would be testing around this time of the year for next years event? Im fairly sure hes the right height and build, though Im not sure that he smokes?

Jason as in the fat useless bloke, who makes up his reviews on used cars (See the GTR.co.uk lots reaction to his quote about turbos dying and brake disc exploding!!!) and the with a voice like he has no nads.
If you think hes an "In" then Im sorry, The small Richard guy is more matey with JC so he may know.
Not being like this cos it may not be Julian Bailey, just that I can't see him knowing his **** from his elbow.

i thought they would have announced it at the end of the show, but they did show the stig walking away with his lid on a table
but the shot wasnt long enough
I dont know who it is, it may well be Julian Bailey, but i have been told otherwise wether true or false
Also the person who stated that it was Julian originally, was going on about it was an Evo that was being driven by the stig, and thats when the identity was revealed
But the Evo hasnt made an appearance on TG

...can't be Chelle I'm afraid - as I "the Stig" actually seems to be able to drive swiftly and NOT put it into summat stationary.

Er....I didn't think V B Henderson was that good a driver. Better than me, yes...but not yet in the same league as needles or (god forbid!) Plato!
