Has anyone got any? Mine went when the WRX went, because I thought I had a load of them somewhere.... I did... but can I find them - NO! I can't...
So if anyone has one they could spare I would be very grateful.
Thanks
P

The Black Rat is used to signify traffic police.
They used to only be available only to police driving instructors to give out, but are now a bit more widely available (partially as they are just a black shape on a white sticker so not exactly hard to copy).
The only real use for them is that you might recieve more lenient treatment from an officer of the law. Conversely you might have to explain where the sticker came from........

You can get them on some police driver taining days, as above, you MAY get let off say a speeding ticket providing you were driving safely and taking the road/weather conditions into account.
If you drive like a tw@t the sticker will do you more harm than ood.

Urban Myth
Years ago PCs used to have them on their personal cars, It was a kind of Masons thing. But then the general public caught wind of it and started copying. Now it just shows the coppers you're a **** who thinks he can drive how he likes cos hes got a sticker. SO youre more likely to get pulled!

Richard Grimes used to sell them at his training courses, back in the dark ages when he was running the SIDC... also in the days when scooby drivers were the best on the roads
at the end of his courses he would sell them as a sort of 'you've done very well' type of perk..
I've always had one on the car mainly because I think it looks cool, whether it did me any favours or not I wouldn't know... but then again I don't drive like a tw*t, but hand on heart Officer it wasn't me breaking the speed limit... moi! ...never!
So again if anyone has any I would be grateful for one.
Thanks
P

Saw one on a BMW bike (private not logo'd
) & I pulled up next to this bloke & asked
"Are you a policeman"
He looked sort of startled but said he was, how'd'ya know sort of thing. Explained I'd seen the sticker. Asked if they "worked" & he replied that it depends what you'd done - minor indiscretion, bollocking (as opp to a FP), driving like a pratt then you'd get what was coming to you, like anyone else.
Seems fair enough to me, just a shame that the attitude to non-stickered people would not necessarily be the same...
