Question

I've currently got my mobile insured through the Carphone Warehouse and I reckon it's expensive - £27 per quarter.

I've looked at the Vodafone website - as far as I can see, they only have details for pay as you go phones - I'm paying monthly, although I'm now out of my contract.

Where can I get a better deal? I'm considering moving to Virgin Mobile instead to save myself some cash.

Put the money you would spend on insurance in to the bank, that way you could afford to buy any phone you want after 2 years !!

If you loose your phone in the first year, just buy a s/hand one for £50

it's not just loss, it covers faults as well which makes it worth the while, IMHO

If you're prepared to change networks, Orange has free insurance on most talkplans.

Check your home contents policy. I already had accidental dammage on my policy and asked about mobiles. I am covered as long as each phone is less than £500

Thumbs up

I took out a policy with The Link when I bought my T68.
It cost £150 but covers any phones you buy for 4years!

I had my T68 stolen and within a week, had a cheque for the shop to the value of £480

Unlimited claim cover so you can lose your phone whenever a better model comes out

Yes i was thinking about rejoining orange but they no longer do free insurance and their talk plans i think are no better than any of the others so time for a new network.
