My girlfriend had a Golf GTI Convertible which was stolen some time ago. She reported this to the police and got a crime ref number. A while later she received a parking ticket to the tune of £95 for the above car in Birmingham. She has called the ticket issuing dept up and given them the crime ref number saying that she wasnt in posession of the car at the time of the parking ticket. However she is still getting reminder after reminder bugging her to pay the £95.

Anyone got any ideas on how to sort this?

Maybe a check with your local CAB?

I'd write a letter stating the facts and send it registered post to the payment office. Give details of the crime no, which force and maybe a number for a local police station.
