Well i thought creatine was Disgusting but Promax is

1st time i just used a fork, still loads bits in it. Just tried the blender. no bits just absolutly disgusting taste.
I bought the strawberry and mixed it with water, any surgestions???

I think I learned in school that the tongue can only taste sweet, salty, sour and bitter, the rest comes from the two little organs in the nose (forgot the name, anybody know?).

its not the smell. its the taste. its bloody awful, might try it will milk. I know the protein drink at the gym isnt the same but i take it with some Yazo Strawberry milk shake, but x2 a day will start to add up ££

Well yeah, less protein would mean less gains . If im not taking in enough then im wasting my time.

I just take one in the morning and one before bed. High does protein for my body to work on, and just make sure im getting as much as i need.

Si,

I know it's not the smell you disklike, but how your mind reacts to the taste is directly affected by your sense of smell.

Could you mix it with low-fat milk? or does it come in any other flavours? orange and mix it with some orange juice?

Other than that, I'd say don't be a big girls blouse and just drink the stuff

It should taste much better. I did try using Creatine before, but the milk made me feel bloated if I took too much and it gave me cramps when running, so I just take some energy drinks instead.

Why don't you guys just eat steak? Tastes a damn sight better, and is red muscle itself so has all the right ingredients. Those supps are a marketing con on the whole. If they work they've probably got something dodgy in them.

But i cant cook a steak before bed can i?? Protein shakes the best thing.

Creatine works wonders for me, i wake up not feeling in agony or anything, its great.

As for the bloated but, it does me too but your not ment to take it before you train mate.

I have been told loads of differnt ways of taking creatine

1) Load up for two weeks (2tsp per day) then drop down to one.

2) 1tsp every day and 2 if your training on that day.

3) 1tsp every morning

4) 1tsp an hour before you go to the gym

Any Ideas ???

PS

I also used to get cramp in my calfs when taking it.

Im taking Creatine @ 6am then after work out. 3/4 of a scoop.

Take the protein + milk + flavour @6am then before bed and one after work out.

Should incase mass after a few weeks.

Because thats when your body needs it most. You've basically just destroyed your muscles by making it work hard, stimulating growth. If you take it before, where is it going to get its nutrients from?

A dozen egg whites, 1.5 pints of milk, dollop full of strawberry protein powder. Once a day. Sometimes twice. Along with plenty of red meat and fresh vegetables.

Did me for ten years. Got me to the UK's. Sorted.

Do you not read the instructions lol

Im using Creatine ES8000 i think, £40 ish from Maximucle it says take 1 in the Morning then 1 in the after noon or after work ouyt.

the Protein says just take 1 scoop, so im doing that twice aday to increase my stores and because its a better source of protein( but you still need to be sticking to 6 meal a day diet)

Wait, you guys are taking it in scoops???

I only take 1 t/p after a workout mixed into a protein supplement. Are you guys aiming to be Mr Olympia or something?

I use pure creatine and it only £15 for about 600g from one of those hippy type organic food stalls in the metro centre.

Six meals a day you fat Barsteward LOL .....

2.5 stone in 9 months is a lot. Although i did put on about that in my second year of training. Make sure you do lots of legwork - biggest potential muscle growth. And not bloody Smith machines - proper squats. Toughest workouts of my life were squat workouts. If i had enough energy to do anything else afterwards, i wasn't trying hard enough. There is NO substitute for them. Which is why most guys can't bring themselves to do them a) regularly or b) properly. That's my tip for the top.

Yeah ive never squated really before, Im starting a new program in the next week, aiming for 3 times a week doing more on certain parts my body.

ive only just started doing my legs, didnt see the point really. But after one of many conversations with molds i can see why legs are very important part to work.

Smith machines a killer on the shoulders doesnt half hurt cant get more then 50Kg at the moment

Well I about 16 and half stone at the minute and 6ft.

Trying to lose fat and increase strength is my aim for the next six month.

Bloke who owns my gym did Worlds Strongest man Year ago, so ill get him to give me a hand. Seen a bloke squating 200kg +.

Im use the hack squat machine an do about 60kgs at the mo. And leg press about 60-80kg each side. Just building my legs up to a set foundation then have a good grounding to start squating.

I havent got a good belt tbh, the gym has a few if i need one. Im thinking getting a maximuscle ribbed top tho
