Ski-ing Season upon us

YES YES YES!!!
There was a vague thread a while back about Scoobynetters on snow. Time to get it together! I will be in St Anton 10th - 17th Feb, and Val Thorens 10th 17th March, plus Dolomites, Chamonix, etc inbetween. Anyone else around those times & places? With Scooby?
Bring your Ortovox!

Skiing - a serious thread!!!
But oi M8 less of the vague - it was my thread
Madesimo in Italy at Christmas,
La Rosiere in mid January,
Adelboden, Switzerland beginning of March,
Obertauern end of March.
Cutting down this year, six trips last season.
Thought we were the only nutty frequent skiers on here!!
Were in Val Thorens last year. Great snow.
The Scoob (haven't decided whose yet....) going on the Adelboden trip.
You skiing or boarding??
Enjoy the white stuff

Hi Airmiles,
I'm with you on the skiing thing, double cool holiday. I can only go once a year due to money unfortunatley.
I'm going to Val Thorens at the end of March,
I have a mate reppin' over there. It seems massively more expensive to go early March than the end of, do you know something I don't?
Regards,
Andy P

Ski fever !!!!
I'll be in La Clusaz, France for the week over New Year (big family bash), then back again for the week of Jan 27th (lads only bash). I may manage a trip through to Chamonix/Argentier during the lads week. If anyone is in La Clusaz/Cham/Argentier area during those times please feel free to drop me a line.
- Colin.

Thanks for the link
Obviously, you are not allowed to snowboard until you reach a certain level of competence. Children not allowed until 10yrs.
But under 5's are allowed to ski.
Lessons are £25 and you need five to be allowed on the slope
They are fully booked until March!!!!!
Might be better for me to book a holiday

Just managed to sneak in 4 days in Tignes over New Year as well
Scott - what date's the Bosses des Bosses? It would be rude not to....
Andy - no idea why the prices vary so much in March - maybe it's just the general late-season fall off?
Waxin' up my X-Screams!!

Why Europe?
Go Canada, far far better all round. For those who have not been, try Pananrama if your beginning, great conditions and good value. For more experienced boarders try Lake Louise or Whistler, but go for at least 10 days.
For any beginners, don't bother with either Snowdomes, book a couple of lessons at your chosen resort, its better value and you'll learn more.

Sorry - meant to post this yesterday but forgot. The reason Europe is so expensive at the beginning of March is because it is the end of the European half term holidays. The brochure prices (not that I would use a tour operator, just a guide!!) go down 10% from the first to second weeks of March.

Replaced my Atomic Beta Race 10.26 GS race skis with their successor a few weeks ago - the Beta Race 10.22 - and looking forward to giving them a thrashing tomorrow afternoon!!!

Hi Guys!
Cervinia on Saturday for me! Aiii!!!!!
2 and half metres up top, link to Zermatt open and the longestv run in Europe to Valtournenche also up and running! Then Sauze - my second home in Feb/March.
