Anyone who has read any of my prevoius comments on Plasma screens will know i am not a huge fan.

However, i have just recieved a flier from a company regarding prices, screen life and brightness.
To cut a long story short
JVE 42" plasma 50K hours screen life (about 10x the usual, can extend to 70K, God knows how!
List £ 5460 + Vat - offer £ 4095 + VAT

NEC 50" Plasma
List £ 7900 + VAT offer £ 5900 + VAT

I am not a huge fan myself but the prices and screen life seem good.

These are trade prices from an AV industry supplier so's you will need to set up an account/purchase via a business to do the do.

 

That's pretty good pricewise.

I'm waiting for them to drop a bit further as I can't really justify £5k for a TV, no matter how groovy.

50,000 hours at 10 hours a day comes to about 13 and a half years. Not a bad lifespan.
