Question

Lee,

How about some domination(where you have to change the symbol to the team colours and you score points for how long it stays that way).

I've also found an awesome level. It's ideal for CTF and Team DM. It's got everything. Sniping spots, large open areas, cramped walkways, the lot.

something I have played at LAN parties is to use the fatboy settings. This means each time you kill you get a little fatter, each time you are killed you get a little thinner

its ****ing funny to play, and evens it up a little for the weaker players

just a thought

Fatboy's great fun - especially when you get so fat you can't fit through doorways on some levels
Should be on tonite providing installing new hard disk is straightforward!!

Yeah, Fatboy is funny. I end up looking like Starvin Marvin from southpark though.

The Unreal Tourmanent offical addon pack is cool too. Relics are fun!

Trouble with all of these "goodies" is that we may prevent people from joining who haven't got them. Always annoying when you go to connect and it starts a 2Mb download

If we decide to use the bonus packs for next week, this gives people time to download em.

Fatboy's a standard mod, will work on all machines without having to download as it's part of UT - might be worth a laugh as a finishing game...

64k ISDN dial-up for me - very impressive ping, not much slower than our 2Meg leased line here at the office.

Very strange how the start of level lag problem came back - it was fine last week.

Who was the person playing with a name beginning with S or F?

Chris.
Hong Kong Phooey.

How much fun was that!!

It was strange that some maps my (56K Modem) ping was low - 60 or 70 but other maps it went 1,800+ ??

But jolly good fun apart form the lag problem which seemed to get worse.

Problem is how can I spend 2 hrs on the phone evry weds night....I'll end up owing BT a fortune!!

Was good fun again, though the lag for me was always bad. Best of about 300, worst 1200+.

At least I provided cannon fodder for most whilst stood still trying to aim at things.

Did manage to score a point in one of the CTF games

See you all next week.

Dr Hu, get signed up with BT Internet or FreeServe's un-metered off-peak Internet access service.

Unlimited off-peak useage for under a tenner a month. I was dialed into BT Internet's Free service last night with a ~60ms ping.

We had the problem with bad pings at the start of the map a couple of weeks ago. Eventually it sorts it's self out and the pings go down.

I'll not bother as I hate UT and Q3A with a passion.

Wouldn't mind a Grand Prix Legends night though!

Front Line Force is also a very good Half-Life team based game.
