i bought a canon powershot from 24-7 electrical website for £200. Think it worked out to be £198 for the A40. Really easy to use and excellent camera ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

As Rik says - Canon Ixus V2 is a steal at £199 (thats over £100 off). I bought the V3 for £350. Was very tempted to take it back and get the V2 thus saving £150 but I was too lazy.

Just bought my Auntie a Fuji Finepix A204 from Dixons online shop for £174.99 as they have it on offer at the moment. You'd be best off buying a set of 4 NiMH rechargeable AA batteries (cheap from MX2) and possibly a larger xD memory card (also from MX2).
The A204 consistently came up as the best camera uder £250 from everywhere I looked. Think it's 2 mega-pixel with a nice optical zoom (much better than pants digital zooms).

I have had 2 Fuji's now and they are very good, easy to use and excellent picture quality.
Have a look here.
These were taken with a Fuji Finepix 4700, now replaced with a newer model, in the £350 bracket I think.
Pics were reduced in size to fit them onto scoobynet.
It gives you an idea of the pic quality anyway,
Cheers, Grahame.
PS As well a great cameras they make pretty good cars as well
(Fuji Heavy industries).
