Question

Bet you cant...i cant even think of one

The only sensible thing to come out of IDS's mouth is a tentative admission that maybe the NHS will NEVER cope on its own.
Some form of private healthcare is inevitable.

They did say something about stopping the persecution of motorists. Probably just another lie though.

I'll believe it when i see the future tory transport minister pulling up outside parliment in his own 600hp skyline and asking a mate if he can borrow a fiver to pay for the congenstion charge.

"Name five Tory polices" would have sufficed.

Lower taxes for businesses, families, savers, pensioners and ***motorists***

Public spending not to outstrip the growth of the economy

No more stealth taxes - transparent economic policy

Cut the cost of regulation on business every year

Keep the pound

Increase police numbers

Free police from bureaucracy so that they can get on with policing

Take persistent young offenders off our streets

Criminals to serve the sentence given by the court

More rights for victim

Angry

Whoops, looks like I've stumbled upon the annoying lefty corner...

Okay, fine...IDS is hardly setting the world alight at the mo...and there really doesn't appear to be a viable opposition to the Labour ******* at the mo either, but what have Labour improved since 1997 ???

Is the NHS better ?
Is puplic transport better ?
Is schooling better ?
Are roads and congestion any better ?
Is the crime situation any better ?
Is the economy any better ?
Are we any better off ?
Forget what you were told by the BBC - do you really think that Tony acts in your interest ?

Whilst I fully admit that the Tory lot wanted the boot in 1997, I think you'll find that the answer to all of the above questions is a definite NO !!!!

In response to your other thread abour big Tone.... Yes he really is doing a cr4p job !

But hats off to him... he's a cunning bu99er and is sand-bagging himself in there at No.10 by bringing in laws and manipulating the media to make it harder for people to shift him.

Can't last forever though...I can see big problems on the horizon at this rate. Things will get a whole lot worse before they get any better.

Just my Friday afternoon two-penneth's worth..

I just had a look at the Tory website. It actually looks like they have a better understanding of what is going on in this country. Whether they would actually do anything is another matter. More importantly, I don't remember hearing any of their policies being voiced by IDS.

Bear in mind that things that Labour promised. Would the Tories do anything different?

What did annoy me about the Tory site was a reference to Labour MPs being chaeffeur driven around totally aloof from the rest of the country.... hmmm.. i seem to remember thinking the same thing when the tories were last in power.

Name any aspect of politics that gets you excited.

Nothing but the same old ****. It seems that it takes a certain sort of person to be a politician and that means corrupt, and solely self-interested. None of the options we have want to bother themselves with actually representing the people of this country, and none of them give a toss about anyone or anything but themselves. Whoever we vote for will be in it for the power and the perks, so why bother? I used to think it mattered, but I'm bored with it now.

Unhappy

in view of the petty "schoolboy politics" this thread is going where it belongs
WHY?????????????...this was a serious thread.

My point was that recently there has been been a lot of discussion, and rightly so,about the future of the UK.My point, and others have agreed with me on occasion,is that its easy to complain about X,Yand Z,..a lot harder to actually do anything about it.
Hence my post, can anyone actually name 5 tory policies that would make a difference.

Why has it been moved?????????????????

Agree south-star. I might have been light-hearted, but not flippant. I'd be happy to discuss further, in NSR.

Please move it back!!

jlanng, manifesto, schmanifesto. It's there to convince you that they actually have a raison d'etre at the moment.

I have never, and would never vote Labour. But if you honestly believe the current Tory party could do a better job than the crowd in power at the moment, i think you're deluding yourself my friend.

Especially with Ian and Duncan Smith in charge.

The trouble is, we're all too afraid to voice and address the REAL issues this country faces, because we're all too bloody politically (sic) correct.

Until that changes, the country will delve deeper into the depths of mediocrity.

Name 5 moderators that would have moved this - this is not a muppet item - even the muppets are steering clear (for now ). Get it back where it belongs - people power should still prevail on Scoobynet - even if it counts for **** all in the real world !

ps Time for a REVOLUTION (That should get the police round to me )

I didn't say that though did I?

Wait til Ken Clarke takes over, I'm sure things will start to look up then. It's taken a little while, but Labour are actually starting to f**k the country up good and proper now.

I think we could have a scoobynet first here. Moved into the muppets then back out - gets my vote.

When it goes back I'll post a proper reply.
