Camera & Speed Trap Detectors
#1
Can Anyone recommend a Camera / Speed Trap detector that actually works?
I spent £334.00 on a pile of S**t that tells me when I am near Tesco's front door or a set of pedestrian lights, no reaction to mobile camera vans though, tells you when you have passed a Gatso (too late) and that's about it.
I was duped by a con man at the motor show.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM licencesaver.com
Recommendations please.

I paid £200 for my snooper and that seems to tell me when a cameras live or not from a safe distance. It also picked up the start up signal on some roadside fuzz in Blackpool,as i approached it went off as he was stepping back from the camera.
it is a ballache the way it goes off all the time in town, but i turn mine off.
I think you have to look at it as not foolproof and a licence to speed but more of an extra bit of defence to complement your eyes and common sense maybe?

I am not a mad driver, and yes I do want it for the extra safety, and to detect cameras located for entrapment, if I can see the limit clearly I will abide, the cops look for areas where the limit is not so clear or obvious and sit with their mobile cash machines.

BuRR's seen my driving, thats all Gooner, dont quite understand why your saying bo**ocks to him?
I researched what the police were using, which i was most sursepticle to, and took it from there. The jammer came first, as i know where the cameras are around here, followed by the Morpheus after i went through a speed camera which had been been installed on a road i thought was safe.(only took them two weeks to install the camera and get it operational).
Went for the cheapest Geodesy, not the plus, as that leaves me more money for making the car faster

Gooner,
All radar detectors will go nuts when they're close to automatic doors - they use the same frequency. Even "City" mode doesn't help a lot.
For what it's worth, i have a Bel550 and Geodesy. Between them, they detect most things, although the Bel is (obviously) much more effective at picking up forward-facing Gatsos than ones you're passing, unfortunately.
