Hi Baldrick. ( cunning plan afoot )
This is what I refer to as "Is he or isn't he" syndrome. I used to be a member of the Golf GTi drivers club a few years back ( don't snigger )and I remember many an occasion when people would sit at the other end of the bar and seem like they were completely out of it. ( pub meets ).
I supose we all feel a bit stupid walking up to someone at these "social" occasions and saying "which ones your's then ? " or some such comment. I think the problem that persists at these kind of meets is that nobody wants to take charge and shout "Scooby drivers of the world unite"!! or maybe something a little less.... er... silly! With so many regional meets and gatherings taking place its difficult for one person to say "Let's all meet in the car park at 6:30 and introduce ourselves". It just doesn't happen . A Badge maybe.....
"SILVER & 17's" or "DBM & Dent". Could work but very close to Muppetdom eh ?
Anyone else got any thoughts... or are you all just too bashful

Talking

I too was at Castle Coombe

I was the one wearing a sweatshirt with a Koolart pic of PTMW! on it. PTMW! also had "Puff The Magic Wagon!" in bright green on the windscreen & my new P1 spots I was also the one that was changing the nappy of my sprog (Ez) in the boot (that's one reason why Wagons are more practical ).

Recognised a few faces & said "hello" to many. I'm still a bit shy tho'

*lol* I've had this before at some Rover meet ups. You go round saying 'hi, I'm mook' (well, I do anyway) and everyone shuffles about and mumbles a bit before looking at their shoes

Mind you, I find a quick, 'is that muppet X here?' tends to get the conversation started *lol*
