The encryption hasn't been broken yet as far as I know (I know someone involved in the white hat side at Sky). And if it does get broken, Sky have additional crypto systems in place and ready to go as soon as they notice there is a problem with the security.

That'll be a free to air channels card, or a card for installations without a phone line that's all.

If you check out the undergound bbs sites you will see that the latest generation of cards & encryptions have not been cracked yet, the old SECA and VIAACCESS etc for the euro sat feeds are easily cracked, as was ondigital but not sky. It will be a free to air card or a scam, see this link:
