Hey All

I have been looking around at getting a nitro RC car as i want to move on from electric cars.

I have found the HPI Nitro RS4 Rally Impreza to my likings.

I was just wondering if anybody owns one of these and do they think it would be a good car for a nitro begginer, also does it cope well off road and what else do i need apart from the kit itself

Any help would be great

TIA

Rich

I have an HPI super nitro rally RS4, its the one that has a scooby or evo (or pikes peak) body.
Mate I wish I bought one of these first, they are blindingly quick, **** easy to build and spares are easy to get if you ever need them. HPI are a good make and I'd deffinately reccomend it.
They do cool donuts and have good enough ground clearance to go off road. My mates have 2 speed gearboxes in their 1/10 racing cars and this almost keeps up with them without any mods.

someone is selling an almost new one here:

have fun

Talking

you don't need an esc with a nitro, apart from the transmitter, servos you'll need some fuel (not petrol), a glow starter and a glow plug
i had a hpi for a couple of weeks then upgraded to a protec - the proted plastic parts were so rigid every time i hit a pothole something snapped

i had a 1/10 protec. it looked ace in the display case in the shop, anodised cooling fins, gears, etc - got it home and it didn't even have a shell??????
first time i crashed it in a supermarket car park i hit a kerb and the shock mounting, lower arm, and wheel smashed into tiny pieces :-( sold it on ebay a week later and stuck to electric tamiya kits
