havign just read evo this month, and being told there are specs cameras south on the M1 att he M25 junction, it has really got me worried.

I have no probs with gatsos, but dont really want to spend £400 only to find myself caught by a hand help laser.

The snooper system looks interesting to me, but I am wondering if anyone knows about anything in the pipeline which has a jammer too, ie?

a gps gatso/specs/truvelo spotter
a laser/radar detector
and crucially, a laser jammer all in one.

wouldnt mind so much if it didnht have the gatso/laser detector as the hand held ku bands are becoming rarer as they are replaced by the laser guns. I dont care if it doesnt have a laser detector as by the time you are notified they are pretty much useless, but it would be ok if it were jamming all that time!

Road angel for Specs, truvelo gatso.

There is a laser jammer that can be plugged into it (not sure which one though)

Apparently there is an add on being released for the RA that warns of lasers.

check out the speed trap bible. not sure of the address.

it warns of lasers, but it doesnt jam them.

that is the road angel that does that, the snooper has that facility too.

None of thm on the market at the moment has a laser jammer unless someone else knows something I dont.

I read that about the M1 / M25 junction. Worried me to as I'd been through weekend of 18/19th Jan and not spotted a thing.

Red face

So has anybody else heard about this.... ?http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/2744329.stm
Is it worth investing in one, only to have your card marked for future reference?

the report is talking utter crap though.

the laser jammer does nothing to gatsos and truvelos and specs, only to hand held lasers which are a massive rarity.

that article made out that he was avoiding the 100s of cameras in place by means of this device. Simply not true.

No - the article mentioned the Road Safety initiative.... ie the roadside camera vans that use laser devices.

These are becoming more and more common.

It's say's he has been arrested but the cops say there is no legislation against laser jammers, so he was a bit daft to admitting to perverting the cause of justice wasn't he? I would of thought a good lawyer would of got him off on this one.

Agree with you Burr that he got what was coming to him as he does seem to have a record of speeding.

Si.

There are 103 mobile site locations, as stated in the news post. The guy had been logged speeding in the video tape, although a specific reading could not be obtained.

As the report mentions 6 occasions.... if that is the case, then the person was very foolish IMHO.
