is it a clue that you are from NZ? I know that that you guys used to catch deer in the wild by chasing them in helicopters and then someone would jump out and grab them. Was this one dropped from the helicopter??? Dont know what happened to the legs though!
A few weeks back I was flown up skippers canyon by a guy who used to chase these things. What a total nutter!!!

Jason - Right on the money.

The deer was hit by a freight train and got "catapaulted" up into the air and landed on the power lines. That could explain the lack of legs, not too sure why they aren't there. Can't be a hoax, lugging that up there would be quite a challenge.

Steve - The picture isn't from New Zealand, but yeah, people do fly around on helicopters usually shooting, but sometimes "picking up" the deer like you said. They did this because the deers where becomming a pest on peoples farms, but i would imagine that would be bloody fun
