Sat and watched for 1 3/4 hours and saw nothing that was really much good.
Then on came Tom and just blew then all away. There was no-one and I mean NO-one that came anywhere near to being the singer of the same power, depth, quality of Tom Jones.
The guy is just a star.
Chip.

I see from the headlines that Ms Dyna moose won a fair few awards.
Which can only mean that "The Streets" didnt win anything. Which is great cos these awards are decided by people in the "industry" and as they're the people responsible for the vast majority of manufactured crap. It means that people like me will keep our sounds underground and not get jumped on by teen boppers.

Not a big fan of T.J, but he was awsome. Their ain't a lot of folk around these days who can really nail a live performance. Best of the breed at the mo, is williams i think.
All time greatest = Freddie Mercury.

Was funny when the guy from coldplay took the **** out of justin ... very funny.
Heidi from the s'babes did struggle at the end , they didnt sound too good either.
What a load of sh*t about the "breakthrough" artist , streets should have got that hands down.
Davina was pissing a few people off in the audience , did you see when she went upto that guy on the phone. He didnt look too happy... hahah

TJ was top banana as well - I wish I could sing with that much power at 22 let alone 173 years old!

Sugababes = best dance act. What the ****???? Has dance music suddenly become average pop? Have they made loads of dance music that I'm completely unaware of? Can they sing live? Can they ****....
Bunch of @rse
Coldplay were cool tho
I was watching some of the preview programmes during the week and they interviewed Sian from Kosheen and were talking to her about the new 'Urban Music' category, she asked (tongue in cheek) "why didn't they have a 'Rural Music' category too...." which I was thought was very funny
I prefered it in the old days when they all got pissed and abusive, last night's programme was far too slick

I hate Tom Jones! MOST overrated singer. He's had his day and he's been resting on his laurels ever since. He's like that embarrasing uncle you get at 'discos'. His voice is powerful but very limited range. He's done nothing new for a LONG time. Covers' and other (mostly welsh) bands licking his ar$e to do 'duets' do NOT count.
Rant over!
Brits are crap these days anyway. Apart from Coldplay there's not much to see. All bland europop.

He's entertaining to a certain extent (not to me though) but he's a guy that had some hits in the 60's and 70's and not really done anything since so why are they still parading him about? Is he the best that can be offered? Shouldn't there be more groundbreaking and new stuff to show us? All the charts & industry are doing these days is backwards looking or cheap marketing crap & dull covers. It's very hard for proper music acts to get in these days especially when the limelight is taken up by people who have had their day and are past it.
Where are the next Beatles, Stones, Cure, REM, U2, Radiohead etc. coming from? There are bands that are good out there but they just don't get the exposure anymore. Coldplay are very good but they are quite public-friendly (easy on the ear etc.) so it's not a risk for TV/radio etc.
This is why the music industry is stagnating and is why MP3's and internet exposure is SO important so that small acts can have some exposure to the market. At the mo it's about money making rather than music making. In 'my' day (am 'only' 29) I used to listen to the charts, there was some variation back then but now it's chocka with crap so where am I to find the music I like? Internet, word of mouth are the only two that spring to mind.
