Does anyone know how to stop the irritating addition of entries into your "Favorites" list in IE5???
For some reason, during my (perhaps dodgy) browsing, i keep ending up with a "Links" folder, which is empty and totally useless, but bloody irritating.
Also, i recently installed software to sync with an iPAQ, and lo and behold it went and installed links to loads of places that i couldn't give a stuff about. Media companies, loads of Microsoft sites etc.
How on Earth do i take control of what i wanna see, and stop every web-site/software company from "spamming" me with junk links???

AFAIK, the Links folder in Favs. is a system folder and is automatically re-created if you delete it.
It is actually the basis for the Links toolbar you can have next to the Address Toolbar. I hated it but now I have my fav sites on the Links toolbar for single click access.
Probably nothing you can do about install programs copying shortcuts in the favs folder.
ChrisB.

Puff,
every time you look at GPRS, they seem to drop the data rate - sounds pants to me (roll on 3G, or G3 or whatever the new fad is called
)
GPS is definitely proven, but not in the phone sense. Wasn't there a van hire firm in the US that fined customers for speeding based on GPS (but then got bollocked for privacy issues?).
Mobile phone tracking could also have problems, even with existing cell info. A case in Switzerland meant that all records of a customer's phone use must be destroyed unless required for billing purposes, and pay-as-you-go means no bills!!!
Anyway, gotta play with mi gadgets!!
