Why would anyone need help to "kick" dope? Surely you just stop what with it being a non-toxic drug without physical addiction.
People get addicted to it in the same way they get addicted to drinking tea. Just stop is the only advice needed

Its the nicotine you miss if you use tobacco. I gave up(13 years ago) on the spot. Its the only way. I hardly drink but was a spliffaholic at night time!! Thing is I hate smoking!!

lots of people don't mix those drugs together. Don't mix dangerous habit forming drugs (tobacco) with less dangerous ones. It's just not worth it. Don't smoke anything in fact- look what happened to Barry Sheene.

I've been stoned as a passenger in a car.
It was about 3 in the morning, and we stopped at some traffic lights. We waited. and waited. but the bloody things never changed!
We waited for about 5 minutes, and were about to go through them (still red) when a police car pulled up behind us. now let me tell you, I was bricking it severly!
luckily, after waiting for another minute, they changed to green.
I've never gotten in a car stoned again!

Isn't it funny how time lasts forever when you are stoned!
I remember 5 of us in a train station trying to work out the best way to get to a bar - must have taken us 3 hours to decided at which point we'd though the place would be shut. Looked at out watches and it was only 9pm!!

Have you ever been stoned whilst driving your scooby
...but I was stoned for all of my 20's probably only went 30 days without getting stoned in 8 years!!! (good supplier)
I used to do everything stoned, work, drive, ****, drink.....everything. The funny thing is that I thought it was "normal" and would tell everyone that it was doing no harm to me or anyone else.
Sinse stopping my relationship with my family has blossomed, as I used to avoid seeing them when I was stoned (all the time). My salary has doubled, my job is sooo much better. I enjoy going out now, rather than sitting in front of the TV with some Stella and gear. I used to even prefer to do the TV and Stella thing instead of seeing my girlfreind, several relationships down the pan.
I think most people that regularly toke will recognise what I am saying, but they are also the most likely to say, it's doing me no harm!

I hope that no-one has ever driven their scoob while stoned. If you have please don't post it here. Drug driving is unwise in a similar way to drink driving. The police are now actively looking for people who do this.
On another note to balance my comments tests in the Netherlands udertaken over a wide sample of regualr cannabis users showed them to be safer than the average driver when stoned. Interestingly when the regular users werent stoned they had ahigher accident rate and drove more aggresively.
In any case the consequences for your licence or health if caught/crash just arent worth it.

Oh how I remember 4 of us sitting in my mates Montego skinning up till 2am on an industrial estate every night and getting up for work!!
Would still have to eat chocolate and crisps when I got in!
Them were the days, I must admit I could do with a refresher......

hmmmm..
we actually moved house to be nearer the 7-11 (24hr) store.. now how sad is that
the best solution:
Tube of cheese + onion pringles
Bottle of fizzy drink, assorted chocolate bars.
Mabey cakes if they sold any.
Definatly some pastie or sausage roll.
and any pizza they were offering

Our local BP garage new our names!!
I used to love shouting my order through the little gap where you put your money and watching this geezer run around the shop!
We used to place one order at a time so he would have to keep running about the shop while we shouted our orders through the gap!

I used to drive stoned every day and to be honest don't think that it was too much of a problem what was a problem was getting to a point where I wouldn't go out in the day time as I couldn't deal with all the people looking at me and talking about me. Not having the confidence to set foot in a nightclub or bar without a gram of charlie or bag of pills was bad as well. I never sufferd from the side effects you get told about at school with drugs more just paranioa and hearing voices which I was always prone to anyway. To start with drugs gave me loads of confidence to go out and have fun and I still look back on the first times I took ecstacy as the best days of my life but after a five years it all went wrong so one day I just stopped all the chemichals and not long later cut the skunk down to just buying a bit every few weeks.
In retrospect I think drugs are all about having a bit of fun while you are young and then stopping as soon as you finish Uni or get a proper job.

5th Gear recenty done a test (not Tiff, the other guy I think), where they got a toker and tested him round a driving circuit. Emergency stop, reversin into a garge etc.
The guy then smoked a fat one and repeated the test. He was mariginally better. Thought he was going faster than he actually was, found himself concentrating more etc.
I have been a smoker for a number of years now and in that time have atleast quadrupled my salary, help build a small consultancy firm, got married, and bought my first 2 scoobs.
So it aint all bad.
Still it ain't all good, I hate answering the door or phone after a smoke, and always flick through the TV channels when the adverts come on, forget what I was watching and generally miss the shows ending

Pot sends me doolally! Rather than sit around 'chillin' I get ants in my pants and have to do something. Very frustrating when your sat in Amsterdam with a bunch of people who can't even open their eyes.

I haven't touched the stuff for years now, apart from a little refresher now and then...
I can still talk with my mates and sit down and watch a film, I'd say that the film's really cool, they say I've already watched it, but I can't remember a bloody thing!
I must have lost about 2 years of my life. I can remember patches of it, but we were burning almost every day!
But I can still remember watching Renegade on ITV at 3 in the morning at my mates flat, buzookad'd out of my eyeballs on the latest import. Then I used to get up, go to my flat (5 mins down the road), sleep until 8:00 AM and then just getup for work, like nothing happened at all.
Did that for a year and a half!
I must be getting old - now it's 8 hours sleep, or I'm a right kranky *******!

I always thought that getting stoned was a uni ting until I started working!
It's quite surprising how many executives smoke recreationally - you realise this when working with them on overseas assignments!
Best moments are when watching a funny film stoned. I remember we were watching The Return of the Pink Panther and we were off our faces. I thought I was going to die I laughed so much!
EDITED to say that we used to neck a tub of ice cream (each) after a session - felt wonderful!
Damn - I think I'm gonna have to arrange something for the w.end!
