Question

I've been a little concerned with the amount I've been drinking of late in terms of its impact on my weight. How many calories and how much fat is in your average pint of lager?

Cheers,

Kenny

Lager doesn't have any fat in it. Just lots of carbs. I think the calories depend on the alcohol content largely. I'm not sure how many but can confirm if you drink a lot of it then you will get a beer belly. After 6 months training mine is starting to go.

150 isn't too bad I suppose. I thought it was going to be around 300 Nevertheless a standard weekend stint of 10 or more bears nails over half the recommended daily calorie intake for a bloke. Mind you, you'll burn a lot of them off aimless walking the streets for hours trying to remember where you live

Remember you have to add on the calories from the Kebab, just think what is in that

Whats to tell I'm not a big drinker as I'm trying to stay fit and trim but I've had lots of events of late that have sucked me in I got wrecked at my mates wedding this saturday and the week before that I was with some mates at a cottage near Oban for the whole week so I was drinking to some degree each night. Next weekend I'm away for a lads weekend so there will be more beers then and finally a week after that I have a stag do.

You can see where my concern is coming from if a pint is 150 cals a pop Not a fan of spirits so no help there. I do like a white russian but they cost loads and I get sick of telling people how to make them

my apologies. I am having one of those "I'm going to be very pedantic and pick holes in people who say bears when they mean beers" kind of days.

Doh, I didn't even notice I'd be stuggling after my first or second bear as there is a lot of meat in them grizzly's

White russian involves milk, vodka and kaluh (sp?) (black bottle yellow label) and they are very nice. Also like a milkshake so you can knock loads back without noticing

Kebabs are low calorie !

The bread gets soaked by the sauce and then the contents falls on the floor/your shoes

I woke up one morning to find a 4 inch strip of Donner meat welded to the top of my shoes and a smaller one nestling in the turn ups of my Chinos !

The trouble with eating Kebabs after a drinking session is that you wake up the next day smelling like the Kebeb

My calculations worked out at 300kcals for a pint of Stella or Kronenbourg - Unfortunately, even that info can't stop me necking the basts!

What was the question again.

If you were in Oban the other week you should have got a takeaway from one of the chinese restaurants(won't say which one) and you would have had the sh*ts for a week solving the weight issue.

LOL, we were actually in the sticks a fair distance from Oban and cooking for ourselves. The fact we didn't have the ***** for the week is something of an achievement
