Why on earth should it be closed? I'm giving a heartfelt thumbs up to Our Boys in the fire service. Nothing more. They have my full support in their struggle for a decent living wage.

For Gods sake they do get a decent wage. Alot of their time is spent either sleeping or playing pool. And their '2nd' jobs pay well too.
My friend is in the army and was working on a Green Goddess. Told me he'd never been as bored in his life. Around 1 callout every day. If that.
IMHO the Armed Forces deserve the best payrise.
