Has anyone managed to take a wav file, convert it to midi format and then convert it for a Nokia phone? I've tried various converters on the web but don't seem to be having much luck with the outcome. Any advice??

wav to mid is almost impossible and almost always provides a terrible result. I wouldn't bother if I was you

Not when you consider most tunes are already sequenced in and if not, there's always someone willing to have a go. I used to do a lot back in the days when it was all fields and playing a MIDI file required either a fairly substantial hardware investment or a hefty amount of processing power. Now my brothers Nokia phone has nicer instruments and a lower noise floor hehe.

I've been revamping my collection for my (somewhat amazed) friends who wonder what I'm doing with so many ringtones anyway.
