I have just bought an Area 51 stunt kite on ebay:
http://www.mullinkites.co.uk/acatalo..._Kites_82.html
I have never flown a kite apart from when I was young and don't know the first thing about them. Can anyone recommend a good site where I can learn how to do tricks etc.
Also the kite came with soft handles and line, what’s the best way to attach these to the kite? It has loops at each end, are you supposed to just tie knots in the line.
Any advice appreciated
Jer

Stunt Kite 101
As for attachment, all my lines have loops at the kite end and the bridles also have loops with a small knot in the end. I pull the loop on the line through itself to form another loop, slip over the bridle line and pull tight. The line cannot then pull past the knot and is also easy to take off again afterwards. Really difficult to explain without pictures and I can't find any.
Cheers

I think theres a few on here that do -
a guy here was selling one and it seemed a good laugh - then he told me he weighed about 18 stone and it hoiked him 10ft off the deck in moderate wing
I only weigh 12, and had a terrible vision of getting to the point of thinking " do I hang on and hope for the best, or let go and break my legs "
Then again I am feared to death of heights

I have a Flexifoil BladeII 4.9 - mental kite, I can get 30-40ft high jumps off it in strong winds. You just have to have the guts to hold on & hope for the best lol

Don't know about your end of the country but here is a kickass kite festival once a year on (Bristol) Clifton downs.
Bloody amazing what can be done with two bits of string and some nylon.
Best of all are the Chinese folk with their tiny one string kites, now that is impressive.
I have a couple of stunt kites and am really quite rubbish at handling them, but my wife (who learnt from her Dad , God bless his shark shaped and octopus stylee kites) is good through practice. Just need to convince her to tug my strings like that.
The parachute type need a really strong wind but are ace once they are up and the more traditional "stunt" kites fly in a lot lesser wind but are more controllable for a beginner.
Ask where you bought it from about clubs/lessons, i think you will find that they have a community almost as friendly as this one
