I have increasingly been aware of a large number of very sloppy drivers. They don't bother indicating around roundabouts or when switching lanes on motorways. They don't bother using anything but the middle lanes and fast lanes. They look like they are very relaxed in an armchair (with one arm resting on the door and the other arm just about holding the wheel) rather than driving a potentially leathal weapon. They are happy to chat on the hand held mobile while driving. Quite frankly they don't appear to give a royal stuff about any other road user.

Not yet Wurzel ;O). Aren't there lots more BMW's in Germany........I wonder if there is any connection????!!!??
I may have had a minor rant about the driving in the UK but to be honest I find it some of the best in Europe! The French, Spainish and Italians are far worse (although they are far nicer to cyclists ! ).

Brooks yes there are every other car is either a BMW, Audi VW or Mercedes, but unlike in the UK indicators are NOT an optional extra here
the orange or white covers are installed on the cars but there is no working parts fitted. Manners are also not neccersary here, what you have to do is wait in th eslow lane until you see a faster car steaming it down the fast lane then just pull out in front of it with no warning and then drive slowely up the road until you decide to move over and let him past.

I assumed that indicatiors on German cars where for show, did not realise that they where wired up to any switchgear 
Most annoying to me is the number of drivers using mobiles without handsfree of an kind - usually phone trapped between shoulder and ear paying not much attention to anything/anyone else!

Forgot another group to add to the list...........
the people who cut across all the lanes around the round about, in other words do not stick to their lane but use the shortest route... This is where the Imprezas get up and go helps. Gets you well past before they chop you up at the roundabout!

Quite a few people are just plain lazy, and/or ignorant.
Middle Lane Hoggers are a PITA. You try to use the overtaking lane and they sit in your blind spot not moving past - you indicate then they come alongside at a snail pace, you move into their lane and into the 3rd lane...what do you know, suddenly they find the accelerator and try to keep you in lane 3.
