We fancy this for the Spring Bank period next year. Does anyone have any experience of this kind of holiday, and the best way to go about organising it?
At the moment, we're thinking of renting a chalet / cottage. Flying from East Midlands / Liverpool (Easyjet) to Geneva, and looking at somewhere around there, renting a car to get around.
Is this the best way to do things?
Any advice is appreciated. TIA.

There are a couple of companies (Eurocamp? etc.) that do "posh caravans", i.e. static caravans for quite reasonable rates. Don't know if that is the sort of thing you were looking for ?
My folks are on their way back out there again this year for a couple of weeks. They seem to enjoy it a lot. It is a bit like camping but without the hardship and they get to stay in the Swiss Alps and still be able to afford to actually do some sight seeing and shopping![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
They are off to Interlaken again but are driving over. The company has organised a hotel stop over in Luxemburg on the way there and way back to break the journey up a bit.
Cheers
Ian
