Hello

Well, it depends on your point of view I guess. It doesn't change him as a person just because he has "come out".

I would probably be disapointed because it is harder for him to have children, but my son's lifestyle is his choice as long as it doesn't endanger his life or others.

if my daughter turns out to be a lezza I think I could handle that. If I had a son and he came out my imagination would run away with me thinking about what activies he was getting up to. I know it's not logical to think that way but I reckon most Dads would feel the same

Butkus:

Not really!

Surrogate mother perhaps or (could be wrong, or at least get lots of people ranting here!) I believe gay couples can now adopt.

Mate of mine had a son who came out, this chap was very easy going but had been in the army all his life so was obviously fairly anti-gay before his son told him, which must have made it quite difficult for both of them.
My mate never let it get in the way of how he felt about his son though.

Tragically, his son must've had some other stuff going on in his life as a while after that he committed suicide.

There's a moral to this story but you probably don't need it spelling out.

Keep smiling.

Hey Carpet Cleaner, you know it's *amazing* how many "mates are gay" stories you come out with.

What happened to the last one - who you said you suspected of being gay but didn't want to get involved in case of upsetting him?

Is this just coincidence, or making stories up for the attention??

ok, I don't have kids, but if I did, and they turned out to be gay, well, hey, not a problem. I do not have a problem with gay people, male or female, if that's the way you are then cool.

What I DO have a problem with is gay people, usually men, who are in your face gay, as in "Look at me I'm gay!" and keep going on and on about how they are gay. You don't see me prancing around saying "Look at me! I'm totally not gay!"

Telboy,

I'm on your wavelength. CC always seems to have something going on at his work. Weird that

Cheers

There's probably a reason for that....

My best mate of 18 years told me this year he's gay. He's 34 years old and has been Married (Divorced 5 years ago). When we were 16 to 24ish he was always the biggest womaniser of our group, always the most desperate to pull.
After a few pints and by the end of the night his standards were nearly zero, any age, any size but always female.

First signs were at a stag night before Christmas, we went to a Lapdancing clud and he didn't seem bothered, I can remember thinking then it was out of charachter.

So big suprise when he told me he had a boyfriend and was telling his friends and family.

I'm 100% behind him (No punn intended LOL) it must have taken loads of courage to come out. I have told him nothing will change and he will remain one of my closest friends.

I must admit that open male/male affection sends a shudder down my spine but I'm happy for him as long as he's happy.

Life is short and you never know whats round the corner, if someone is gay so what? Do whatever makes your life happy.

I was once told this by a lezbian:

Homophobia is just the arrogance of straight men thinking that all people gay or straight fancy them.

Makes you think though don't it?

Straight skoosh.
