I'm getting married in six weeks (this saturday ) and my fiancee and I are listing the songs we want the DJ to play at our wedding.
Whilst we have decided on the song for our first dance together (which will be for just us), we're having real problems thinking of a 2nd song, for which the top table will join in with us.
Can anyone think of any songs which will have some relevance to the wedding, or perhaps suggestions of songs which you married chaps (and chapesses) may have had?
The definite NO NO is Jennifer Rush - The Power of Love (HATE THAT!), and please, no suggestions like Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" or "******* In Heaven" by Fat Boy Slim
Thanks all.

I like her, but the other half doesn't. I bought my mum the CD for Xmas (and listened to it first, obviously) and thought it was quite good.
Keep 'em coming......

My family 'crashed' our first dance when I got married! We had 'Babe' by Take That (how sad is that?!)
Anyway, hope you and the missus are as happy as we thought we would be!!!!!! (divorced now )

Well having done wedding discos for the last 10 odd years my thoughts on it are dont make it too serious with the music.
The best one I did, they asked for "Great ***** of Fire" as the music to walk out of the ceremony to !! Very memorable for all there, as the whole congregation was dancing and singing. Dont see that happening with classical music !!
What about the Carpenters - Close To You. Sounds silly, but it has the lovey dovey words, but is just novelty enought to make people smile.
All I would say is choose something that the is special to the two of you, whatever type of music it is. I have had things like the Blue Brothers - Everybody Needs Somebody To Love, Kylie - Cant Get You Out Of My Head and even Britney Spears (bride and all her mates danced to this) for second records.
Dave
P.S. Although the DJ will appreciate a list of things you want/dont want to hear, try not to give him/her a complete playlist for the night, cos that will turn into a nightmare for him/her !!!
