Just show them a receipt saying all your goods and car etc have been sold to a mate!!
or as most are vehicle related fines etc. Play dirty with your paperwork...........

...and how many of the bailiff "visits" were to collect money from parking fines? Not exactly the worst crime of the century, but like speeding fines, it is now a big MONEY MAKING business
Bailiffs (and the companies that process speeding tickets) must be making an absolute fortune out of relatively law abiding people.
It is a shame a similar amount of effort isn't put into catching scum that jump bail, or fail to turn up in court, or cut off their tags, or ignore ASBOs and curfews
The law should be about rights and wrongs, and not whether your can make money out of it. Justice stinks!!!

Why don't they just pay the fine in the first place? Stupid when you see the bloke they had on last week that had run up fines of £14,000 +!!
Doesn't anyone else think that last night's programme was a bit weighted against a certain ethnic minority?

strange some of these people can afford to drive around in a car, petrol, tax, insurance, servicing, etc yet say they can't afford to pay a parking fine (or the quid for a meter in the first place).
If things are so bad why not sell the car and use the bus

I know of someone who had a visit from the baliffs over a parking fine about 18 months ago. It was the first he knew of the fine - all the paperwork had been sent to the wrong address, but it didn't make any difference, he still had to pay around £170.
