Ok I've got to admit it I'm no expert but after exploring all the features of this admittedly great phone I've managed to mess up the settings so that it is permanently on "ascending".

It starts too quietly when someone rings then builds up.

I like to think that I've tried the obvious like going into "incoming call alert" and deselecting ascending.

Its driving me mad, I've even restored factory settings - it does eventually get louder so it's not just the volume.

I am a muppet but please don't send me there until I get an answer!

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but try going into profiles and after selecting a profile click on personalise. Adjust the ring tone from there?

On my 3310 i go in on Tones.... then Incoming Call Alert...... thats where Ascending is located just scroll down to "Ringing" and select that..... i see no reason for yours to be set up different to this one.
