i got a neighbour that has two sihtboxes outside on the road <1 wich he drives all the time an one that seams to be used as a shed>
both are not taxed <1 for more than a year> and look as though they ran away from the mot station <leaving the bits that fell off behind> so i guess they are not insured ethier and he cant drive so guess he aint got a licence too,
what bothers we is there aint enough parking were i live anyway so its a race to get home an find a spot <and at the back of his house is a hardstanding for three cars unused>
i have rang the council twice with no joy so i rang back an he said ring the police wich i did and they took all the details an still nothing.
ffs whats going on are they too busy in there vans with there speed cameras to wurry about a untaxed/moted/insured/licenced
car running someone over????????????????

contact the local council, they are obliged to remove dumped / untaxed cars from the public roads, if its in a garden then they cant do jack if a scorn notice has been filled out, or do an astra boy, or when you see the car is away from ome call pc plod from a phone box saying you have just seen the car [give all the details, make colour reg no. dont go over the top] clip another car or curb & is swerving / driving erraticaly the driver appears drunk, let them follow it up, even better if you can get someelse to make the call or get 2 calls in the same night 30 - 40 mins apart from differt phone boxes on opposite side of town

go the whole hog, no tax probably means no insurance, probably means on the dole & working cash, grass him to the in land revenu, the poll tax people, even if he is legit. they will investigate him, apply for credit / store cards in that address to wreck any current credit rating he has, all the freebee in the papers put to that address, you name it be a real pain in the bum, just get someone else from out of town to do it, that way in theory it wont come back to you

Assume the cars are not alarmed, how about a quick smash of the window, let off the handbrake and move the car to block the road, then call the old bill, say cars blocking the road, volia, they'll be moved.

I emailed the DVLA for exactly the same reason. I was told they didn't have enough staff and would not follow it up !!!!!!!

There is a guy that lives next to my parents who also has two (or sometimes three) untaxed ****eboxes sat in the street.
My father spoke to him about it - the guy just seems to think it is funny.
To make matters worse, there is a "policeman" (he sits in a van pointing cameras at people from bridges over dual carriageways all day ) who lives next door on the other side. Absolutely not interested - too much paperwork apparently!
Likewise, the council is not interested.
This is in a place in South Wales where they have one of the highest Council Tax rates in the country - of which the police got a whopping 40%+ budget increase last year. Oh, but they'd rather "save lives" by nicking people for doing 72 in a 60 on an empty dual carriageway.
Grrr!! Makes my blood boil

Call your local police (or pop round to the station) and say you believe that there are 2 untaxed cars being driven (and probably uninsured) by someone in your street.
Once you have made a statement about this, its then on record (or should be) so if no action is taken you can then complain and take it higher (then just remind the police exactly what their job is, ie law enforcement!)

Hey Gar
Do you want me to come round and do his cars ?.
We are having a special this week on lighter fuel fire bombs placed on the exhaust manifold. He drives for about 3 minutes and ali bongo, his engine bay goes up in a small confligration. As for the one that never moves, easy phone the Babylon in Blue and tell them you say 3 lads dump it last night and run away.
Tell you what I will do it for the sheer joy
You got my number.

If they're untaxed, they shouldn't be on a public road (the DVLA has spent a fortune promoting the SORN updates!).
Ring up the council, and say they've been dumped. Usually works!

round here the police have regular blitzes where they clamp all untaxed cars and only declamp when a tax disc is produced plus the declamping fee, if this isnt forthcoming after a certian time the car gets crushed.
Bloody excellent, gives me great joy to see these low life, freeloading scum dealt with at last.
Sounds like your local cops are sh1te though.
