My mate recommended them last nigh so we ripped it off Grokster yesterday. I'll have a listen if I like it I'll buy the CD.

Also got to buy Hot Hot Heat, Bandages is an excellent track, bit like the early Cure.

My brother has recommended the album to me and I have discovered plenty of bands from him. I think I will be purchasing their stuff in the near future.

Went to see the White Stripes in 1999... they sound now exactly as they sounded then... one trick ponies... but quite 'in' now... passing fad I feel.

They are "one trick ponies" but they make a refreshing change from over produced pop crap. Nice, stripped down, not-very-polished performances with a bit of spirit.

The only thing I liked was the Lego animation from 'Fell In Love With a Girl"

To be fair, the singles are a bit unrepresentative of the albums, the rockier stuff gets all the attention, but they do some good folk/blues type stuff. Cold, cold night is fantastic as is Ball and Biscuit (reminiscent of Hendrix playing the blues).

Not new or clever, but still fine music.
