He so fookin' rude. Shouts down anyone who's POV he doesn't agree with. Breaks up any kind of flow in the debate, and over rules the locals when they try to talk about things that matter to them.

The guy's an a$$hole...

That woman was very harsh on the eye, though.

He's allowed that one

Who gives a crap about fishnet sizes?

Lets debate about letting Saddams family in to the UK with FULL benefits!

I was thinking more of the Queen being snubbed question when even the audience pulled him up for wasting time on trivia as he involved himself in a debate he was supposed to be chairing. He likes the sound of his own voice a bit too much if you ask me.

And yes, he was very rude to the old biddy who spoke up.

I say let them in,in fact if i was rich enough i'd buy the house next door to Pete and move them in rent FREE.Then they could all live in the same terrace

Red face

No terrace where I live

Only detached 4/5 bedroom houses with 3 bathrooms from where I look

BUT, they SHOULD get an Executive 5 Bed house anyway - so,,,,, move em in!!

Pete

He just keeps them on topic guys - something we could all do with

Theres lots of issues to chat about, but no time for them all. This is why they use the 'viewers question' gag...he tries to get them to stick to that. Poor love she was just getting up to speed too!

I was just thinking last night that he does a pretty good job as these politicians are so happy to talk over each other (whilst constantly saying "will you have the decency to let me finish" to each other) - but he gets them to shut the f@@@ up when he gets all Ms Jean Brodie on their bottom

I agree with UB - the programme is supposed to be called 'Question Time', not the 'David Dimbleby Show'...

He likes the sound of his own voice far too much and he's probably stifled more debates than Fidel Castro...

I think that politicians have a lot to answer for on these programmes because they will deliberately interrupt another speaker to try to break the flow of his reply, especially when there is a danger that the point being made disagrees with their own view. I find that very annoying because because I would really like to hear the man's point of view and then the answer to it from the other side of the coin. What tends to happen is that we miss it all. That black labour female, forgotten her name,I think it was Oona something, was particularly skilled at that, so much so that I lost all interest in listening to her anyway.

I do agree also that Dimbleby is also very irritating in his manner. He must think he is very important and we miss a lot of the arguments because of his interference. None of them can hold a candle to their father.

Wink

Sounds like a few peeps on here who can't stand alternative POV's and feel the need to shout and argue people down to death.

I think you have all forgotten about Robin Day & Paxman - they are the rude dudes! Quite like them both though - they punish politicians for us. The really arrogant ones get it bad! Ohh and I hope the ones responsible for ditching a married man's tax allowance & slapping 15% on my Coucil Tax suffer pain! Thanks Mr Politician(s) NOW SWEAT!!!!!
