just thought id tell you of their attempt to alleviate my wallet of 180 notes.

My poor pug was making a nasty squeeling noise from the driver side rear. The disk was a bit scored but I must have been doing some hard braking as I was actually past the pad and metel on metel (the pad was about 4 mil total (was 3 mil on pad 3 months ago), anyhow I digress.

So I didnt really want to drive it so Quick fit were called. For new pads and disks they wanted £180.

F*ck that me thinks, get onto the local scooby guru (friend of a friend who runs a jap repair garage). To fit disks and pads cost me £130 inc VAT - an excellent price, esp considering I dropped it off with no notice and had it back within 2 hours.

Just shows what a ripoff Quick Fit are.

The joker behind the counter at quick fit asked it if was a turbo AFTER i told him it was a 306 XSi - the mind boggles.

They are not all bad - I got 4 Pirelli P7000's off them on Friday for £68.00 each including vat. Strangely one of the other QF's in Belfast was looking £168.00 each. Ooops!!

They repaired the puncture for free, which was nice. Having said that it was only because they couldn't balance the wheels as they had a solid centre (also a pug 306).
