All I did was raise my leg to tighten the shoelace and out pops my mobile from the pocket, bouncy, bouncy and now a blank screen

So from a Nokia 6210, where now ?
got to be orange though.

integrated camera, any use or just a gimick ?

I had the Nokia 8310 and if I ever lost my XDA I would definately get another. The photo thing is just a gimik... get a digital camera if you want that.

As I said, had many phones and the Nokia's always come up top...

EDIT: I meant 8310

Why have you chosen that one in particular?

The Nokia 6220 SIM Free is a tri-band phone with colour screen, built in camera and MMS. The Nokia 6220 has new XHTML browser as well as WAP 2.0 over GPRS.

Features at a glance:

Weight: 92g (with standard battery)
Dimensions: 107 x 45 x 19mm, 76cc
Talktime: 2 h - 4 h
Standby time: up to 8 days
Operating frequency: GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900

The Nokia 8310 at a Glance:

Availability: Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific
Weight: 84 g
Dimensions: 97 x 43 x 17 ... 19 mm, 66 cc
Talktime: 2,15 - 4 h
Standby time:100 - 400 h (20 h radio on)
Key features: Latest look and feel, WAP over GPRS, integrated FM radio, user changeable front and back covers, voice features
Operating Frequency: EGSM 900/1800 networks in Europe & Africa, and Asia Pacific
Colours: Nine Xpress-on™ covers available, six of them are sold as accessories

Seems the initial one has poor res camera function

I would get SE T610 instead. The Nokia's screen is just poor in comparison to the T610, & the styling of new Nokia fones are just getting more & more ugly.

As said above camera not important, I think it's a bit gimicky.

Want fast as poss data transfer and 6220 comes with new EDGE technology meaning 118.4kbps
(will be using this phone a lot on laptop when away)

TRIband is high on the list too as I want it to be "world compatible" (travelling down PAST europe toward the end of the year)
