Some loser a couple of weeks tried to break into my car to steal my stereo. They smashed the window and left glass everywhere that i'm still finding 2 weeks later.
Also they bent the front of my head unit and although it still works, the full lcd display doesn't shine now.
However i have recently discovered through "a friend" who it is who did it and where they live.
So the question is, should i do anything about it? because obviously i cant rely on the police catching this person

i know, i've taken a step back and i'm trying to carefully think through the best way to handle this.
Apart from the fact that this loser has cost me grief of staying up til 4 in the morning on my dads birthday waiting for autoglass to turn up, also i need to pay to get the window retinted and then he's scratched up 400 quids worth of headunit.
I'm just not sure how to play it yet

I'd recommend you go and play a game of softball or baseball to relieve stress.
.. what's that you don't have a ball..hmm think of something else you can use as a substitue...![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

It depends on how old they are. If they are young pop round and have a word with their parents.
If they are older then have a word with them. Not violent, just tell them that you are aware that it was them and stress that if it happens again then you will hunt them down.

i think the ******* is about 15 but he well fancies himself as a 'boy'.
Apparently he's the type to carry a knife around, but then he wont even see the baseball bat that hits the back of his head. And if i get really carried away i might bury him alive

Remember, if they realise its you getting them back, this will never end.
like someone said, pay someone a few quid and get them bashed up a bit/lot.
Damaging their property or possesions is not the way to go, they need a good kicking!!!!
I remember someone nicking my brothers car years ago, and taking just the stereo out, and bending up the door speakers, coz they couldnt get them out (probably didn't know how to work a screwdriver)
Anyway, this person was actually someone in my school year, who was bragging about it to one of my mates.
Well to cut a long story short, i waited until i had left school (2yrs later) to get this ******, who was the local gippo, with loads of lairy brothers/half brothers etc.
without going into details, it involved darkness, his head, and a cricket bat.
and he never knew who it was.......
might have been me, might not have been me.
i never told my brother, coz he'd have gone round there like a bull in a china shop and probably got himself stabbed or something.
I know its frustrating, but BIDE YOUR TIME!!!!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
PS. i know wheres thers a nice Duncan Fernley cricket bat if you need one.
