Critical illness cover

I have it. Not sure if its worth it though as the plan runs till i'm 37. I suspect a large hike in premium then. Wife has it too but mother in law had cancer when she was young, so she statistically has more chance etc etc.

if you get criticaly ill its cool...otherwise its a waste of money....just like any insurance.
personaly i have it enough to cover the mortgage but a far lesser amount then the life cover

What are the stats though Tiggs, do you know? What percentage of people with CI cover actually claim. Or is this type of insurance too new to have reliable numbers for?

Good idea if you have a history of illness in the family (although you might get the premium loaded).
If you are diabetic then they will almost defintely refuse critical illness cover (did for me).
