Come on, in these enlightened, right on times, it's ok to admit you're a REAL BLOKE and enjoy regular pork pies, guinness, and sitting on your fat erse. That you've never looked at the energy values on a piece of food or worried about what nasty things might be in that irridescent pink speciality meat product you're so fond of.
I am frankly unsettled by the Atkins thread with people obsessing about carb levels and fat intake - ffs, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - everything's bad for you when looked at in isolation by some EU funded scientist. Live a little !!!

whahey - real people on here, I thought I'd stumbled into a meeting of Fat Club!
it brought it home to me when a friend was giving me a lift last year - we stopped at a garage to fill up (his Aston DB6 Vantage - verrrrry nice!) - and I popped in for a snack. He was horrified that I had just got a 3000 calorie snack (jumbo sausage roll, crisps, chocolate, pork pie, pork scratchings etc). lol
The growler moans I could lose weight but I'm happy and consider myself lythe and athletic
- I just **** enthusiastically at every opportunity to fit more food in!

Dont see the point in diets at all.
I tried the Atkins one...lasted two weeks, felt like s**t.
Now i just eat what i want, but i've joined a gym, so i tuck into the old Ginsters Pasties...and the missus cant complain.

I eat what I like, and I like what I eat. I'm on the 'sea-food diet' - I see food, I eat it.

I'm sick of the Atkins diet thread if only 'cos I accidentally subscribed to it, and I'm sick of getting notifications for 11 pages now.

I'd love to eat what I want (and I used to but got a bit of a porker!). Thing is, it's different for women. There are some pre conceived ideas that women should be thin with no hips and a flat stomach. I blame blokes for this skinny bird culture. B*stards!!!
BTW. There is nothing worse than a bloke having a big hairy gut!

I eat whatever I want, whenever I want it, I'm 6ft 3" and I weigh just a smidge over 11 stone!!
So, I could even be classed as under weight!

haha - women might not like hairy guts, but it's a bloke thing (and when you've already got a growler nipping at your ears, you might as well develop a nice gut to show off in the pub)
there must be more real blokes out there ???

What you mean is you want more fat people to reply to make you feel like your not alone in being a chunk. Fair enough if your happy being overweight but a lot of people arent. But why bother preaching at people who are trying to do something for themselves?
I am by no means fat but after many weekends of indulgence in crisps, takeways, chocolate, cakes, sweets, biscuits etc (mostly after getting the munchies when stoned) I now find it hard to fit into clothes that used to be baggy. Id rather have a go at losing some weight now, than a few years down the line when Ive got about 4-5 stone to lose.
Simon.

TelBoy - it might be nasty, but who cares. I eat what I like, and remain at a stable 12.5st (I'm 6ft).
Oh, and the notification isn't really a problem, 'cos I've got a rule which bins mails from that thread. But it would be nice if Simon implemented an 'unsubscribe' feature.

P1Fanatic, you misinterpret the reason for my post.
I'm not fat in the slightest - what scares me is that on a predominantly testosterone fuelled forum, there's such a large thread discussing 'does my bum look big in this'. I'm not looking for comfort from chunks replying (LOL, aren't they fat Chinese people?), I'm looking to make sure there's still a proper blokey mindset on here!
This isn't a bird's magazine help page, FFS (there'll be a homosexual group next .......)

No its a general help page. And looking at the posts the diet thread has received I would say that quite a few people are interested in the subject.

haha - I'm not saying people aren't interested (that's what alarms me!) - I'm looking to make sure there are enough on here not interested in the latest fangled diet.
Jeez, we'll be having a group buy for 'bums and tums' sessions at the local gym followed by tanning sessions, next.

Presumably the people who ain't interested in the latest new-fangled diet are those of us that are lucky enough to be able to eat WTF we want and never put on a pound ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I tend to keep it balanced though and wouldn't binge on carry outs and beer more than 6 nights in any week...![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
However I can appreciate why those who are more horizontally challenged (I love having to be PC
) may find this of interest ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I have no interest whatsoever in this Atkins diet thing but all of a sudden I too feel strangely compelled to go and add my views to the thread
