hi
I'm looking to buy a surround sound amp, sub and small satellite speakers but not sure of the best package to go for. My budget is around £450-£500 'ish
I currently have a Tivo and an Xbox so need the ability to connect these in to it.
The Sony Wega home theatre looks like a pretty good package - any opinions?
What do you folk own and how good is it?
Being a novice to this area I need some advice if poss....
cheers
Neil

TAG is more than £500?
Sony DAVe system is the way to go mate.
Has had many many "best of class" reviews: really knocks the competition into a cocked hat, and I believe it's SACD ready.
It has been desribed as being excellent at movies and "Very capable" with music. Ok, it isn't an AV32R etc, but then it doesn't cost £3000 per box either.
It's small, it's stylish, a monkey could set it up by accident and it sounds better than it's price tag would bely. The ones I have heard were just fine (and I am used to some very expensive stuff).
If you are not looking for an "audiophile" system, then this is the integrated for you.

A Tag setup for £500? I think I must have been swindled by an order of magnitude ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Can't offer any advice other than to go into a hifi shop and listen to a few systems. Do bear in in that the most 'impressive' bright sound may be tedious after a few hours' listening. In your price range I'd consider somewhere like Richer Sounds, or perhaps second hand? Always lots on Loot
