Contact lenses.

Having not worn lenses for about 10 years, I started wearing disposable dailies (which are now available in Toric versions, for those of us with stigmatisms) and it's transformed my life. For every day they're fantastic, and it also means I can see where I'm going on my MTB.

me mates bought some glasses from some shop on King Street (the one nxt to armani) in Manchester, David summat or other

he design the frames and lense, exactly how you want them.....even if you want wavy arms and triangle lenses...

not too badly priced for made to measure, one off glasses! think about £400 all in....

Got my latest Sun specs (Prescription) from Vision Express. Not bad value or service, only thing is.... its taken me ages to get round to getting smaller frames on my sunspecs as against Dierdre types ...and now I have, everyone is wearing bigger frames again...DUH can't win!
BTW interesting to read about those Toric lenses...... Might have to investigate.

Cool

Si, dailies are about £20/month, or about £35/month for Torics. Fortnightly lenses are much cheaper though, typically £30 for 6 months.

Check out SpecSavers contact lens site for prices (although I don't think they have Toric dailies on their yet).

I buy mine from www.visiondirect.com who are fractionally cheaper than CostCo, who are also very competitive. If anyone's interested they do a 'friend recommendation' scheme where if I recommend you, we both get 5% off. The more people you recommend, the more discount you get.

I got my Jaeger Titantium frames from Boots - about £300 by the time I'd finished with extra thin lenses.

the last two pairs I have are Armani. Reasonable frame price but the special thinned down lenses were £120 each.
