If you worked from 8am to 5pm monday to friday and 8am - 1pm in a Saturday, what breaks would you be entitled to?

8-5 60min lunch 2*15min breaks
8-1 20mins?

Thats what mine usually fall under.

H&S Guidelines are if you sit at a VDU as your job and do nothing else, 15 minutes per 4 hours.

Therefore 15 mins in the morning, 1 hour for lunch (a usual from employers) and 15 mins in the afternoon.

Though if you get the H & S guidelines which your employer should have there are lots of grey areas that you can use to your advantage.......hehe

7.30 - 4pm mon-thurs 7.30 - 3.45 fri.
Get 30mins break at 10am.
45 mins lunch at 1.15.

8-4 mon-thur 1hr, if i bother to go out anywhere. 8-4 Fri Lunch at 2, stay in pub meet others when they finish This is quite the norm with the team i am in and doesnt prove a problem with our manager, he appreciates our hard work all week.

0800 - 1800 1 hour break or 0800 - 1730 half hour break....bloody slave drivers!!!
