Have a company Seat Leon. The rear wash wipe (mainly the water jet) wasn't working very well couple of months ago so took it to the dealer. The car had appx 58000 miles on it. They said can't really find much wrong, have made a few adjustments.
Anyway went in for its 60000 mile service last week. Car has 60200 miles on it. Now they miraculously find the fault, needs a new motor. Sorry sir, car is now out of warranty by 200 miles, you'll (or lease company) will have to pay for it.
Sounds very fishy to me. Have told the lease company to tell the dealer where to go. Dealer has said they will consider making a goodwill claim.
Not impressed...

I'd go with the " I reported this problem when the vehicle was in warranty and you were unable to find the problem so this is an ongoing issue not a new 1"
Sounds like they are full of ****

Leons & Mk IV Golfs are prone to the rear wash pipe working loose....sounds like your most likely cause (?)
If you stick your nose into SeatCupra.net BY CLICKING HERE you can name the dealer & find out how respected they are......

check the wording on your warranty documents, most of them cover faults occuring "during the warranty period", since you conplained of it to them during the warranty period I'd say the fault occured then
