I was thinking about getting some stuff but didnt know what and from where. This has certainly given me a starting point - seems to be some good kit, gonna hit the wallet quite hard compared to the standard CCTV stuff from B and Q @ £40 LOL!!

Just bought a similar system from rfconcepts, only arrived today so cant yet comment on the performance.

I bought the GV250-4 even though I only need one camera atm, thought It would be best to future proof.
I also bought this camera http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/waterproof-colour-ir.htm
Hopefully I will get them installed at the weekend when I feel brave enough to climb up some ladders

Yes - saw the rfconcepts webpage first, which is the one that led me to Geovision's site......rfconcepts seem cheaper and have a bigger range of cams......
Think DV600 capture card for me as DV250 only does 320x240 resolution while DV600 does 640x480 AFAIK.....

Hello Jye .. I am very interested in this kit you bought, I only want the one camera so I would be really interested in seeing how this works.. Also if you can tell me whether you have set it up for remote access and if you have tried it ..
Please post asap once you have tested it
Cheers

Mkhan, np m8, I will look this thread up again when I have it all sorted.
About the remote access, I dont know if I can do this ATM as I only have ISDN at home, but it should be possible and Im going to try it with ISDN anyway.
I'm getting ADSL installed mid July so hopefully the remote playback and monitoring features will be working sometime soon.

I'm possibly getting a 1.8Ghz Celeron off a mate to put this in as I only have a P3 450MHz right now......if I get it, I will buy a card and cam and show you soon (next week) as I have ADSL.......
